I'm a Half Ironman-in-waiting. I have officially signed up for the
Oilman Texas Half Ironman race. I wanted to make sure I was comfortable with my training before actually signing up for the race. And now that I'm a little more than half way into the training, I know this race is possible. Its obvious I haven't been able to keep up with my blogging posts as much as I wanted to, and I apologize for that. My schedule has been crazy and I have had little time at home. The past few weeks I've had some ups and downs, bad runs and skipped swims, but I've got a new fire lit. Yesterday, I did a training triathlon - 30 min swim (1500 yards), 2 hour bike ride (32 miles) and 30 min run (3.2 miles), and even though I was super tired afterward, it felt great! I'm currently in the 2nd week of Base 3 of my training. After this week, I have only 6 weeks left. 6 weeks. Yikes! I'm actually starting to get a little excited!
